What happens if I don't clean my water tank?

How long does water tank cleaning take on-site?
A residential rooftop tank of 500 to 1,000 USG capacity takes approximately 2 to 3 hours from arrival to final water quality test and certificate issue. This includes draining, high-pressure washing, scrubbing, disinfection contact time, refilling, and testing. Commercial tanks above 2,000 USG typically require 4 to 8 hours depending on condition. Access to the tank hatch and water supply are required throughout.
Is the disinfectant used safe for the water after cleaning?
Yes. KHAZAAN uses food-grade sodium hypochlorite solution applied at concentrations approved by UAE Municipality guidelines and WHO water safety standards. After the required contact time, the tank is thoroughly flushed and refilled with mains water. Before certifying the tank as safe, we measure the free chlorine residual in the refilled water to confirm it falls within the safe drinking water range. The tank is not returned to service until this check is passed.
